It’s unbelievable, the hypocrisy, the rampant spending, the “drunk with power” mentality, and the elitism of the liberals is a change driving this country toward the brink of the new fall of another American-Roman Empire. And it’s all been accomplished in less than two months. What in God’s name can we except in six months, a year?

Its obvious Obama is in way over his head. Most of the smart people in this country knew that before this left-wing nut case was elected. But, as my father always said, a smart man will surround himself with people smarter than himself. Well, we know that’s not the case here, half his appointments couldn’t even figure out the tax code, others are so corrupted from being entrenched in paybacks to those who rewarded this administration with dollars and the third person in line for president is swinging the doors so wide open for illegals that American citizens are getting sucked out by the vacuum.

We cannot continue on this course. Everything is completely out of control. The media is attempting to put a happy face on it and Obama is still campaigning by going on Leno and letting everyone knows he’s still a really cool dude. In the meanwhile the Chinese are financially taking us over, illegals are taking the jobs our tax dollars created, drug runners are crowding our southern border with impunity, schools are becoming nothing more than money generators for the teachers union, especially in California, Korea is testing rockets, the Taliban is growing stronger, Iran probably has nuclear weapons and on and on. I can’t even write anymore right now because I’m so pissed off and truthfully, scared.

If there has ever been a time to rise up and revolt, we better get our act together soon. With so much damage created so quickly the affect of this American nightmare will soon be irreversible. The inmates, and soon the terrorists, oops, sorry, enemy combatants are running this asylum straight to hell. Am I overstating? I don’t really think so. But I sure hope I am.

The other night I had the great pleasure of listening to one of the smartest, if not the smartest man in or around Washington, D.C., Newt Gingrich. He is by far the one person who has a pulse on this country and the people who run it. And because of that, the democrats had to demonize him down to the knees, because, as we know, liberals are supportive of ideas only as long as it’s theirs.

In any case, he pointed out, coming soon in his new book, how George Washington decided on that famous night to cross the Delaware. They had nothing to lose. If they didn’t take the fight to the enemy, they were done. Hence the battle cry of, Victory or Death. If they didn’t die on the battle field they would have died by the rope. That truth is applicable to what’s happening to us today with this new administration.

Obama and his obamanites have nearly destroyed in four weeks what’s taken two hundred years to build, and they’ve only started. And, once again I have to give them credit for their political strategy. The liberal playbook they’re using is a doozy. With the anointed one still running high in the polls and with every one of his followers still wobbly in the knees, Emanuel, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the gang are striking while the iron is hot. Sorry for the cliché. They’re milking this honeymoon period as fast as they can to ram all their socialist and communist policies on America before most of the blind followers know what hit em. By the time the obamanites wake up and realize what he’s done it’ll be too late. Actually, it’s probably already too late.

Can you imagine, and many in America are faced with this problem, you’re deep in debt and you decide the only way to get out of it is to go deeper into debt. Even my five-year grandson knows better. Then how come we’re allowing this nightmare to take place we call the stimulus package? It’s just not possible the liberals can actually believe what they’re doing is smart. So what’s the real reason for this Obamination? By now at least half of us know it’s to Change America as we know it (Obama wasn’t kidding when he preached change).

And if you really want to get pissed off all over again, read Bernie Goldberg’s, A Slobbering Love Affair. It will remind you all over again how corrupt and in the tank our media was for Obama and how we the people really got screwed.

On the upside, Obama’s approval rating is dropping. His on-the-job training program is already opening some eyes.

I spoke too soon in my last column. The News Press did end up printing my letter. The first time in five years.

I have so much to write about that I can’t get myself started. The old deer in the headlights thing. First of all I’d like to say that this website was never intended to be political. I have a number of novels I’m working on and have friends with books we’ll be adding to the site. All along my intention was to market the books and inform other writers with the experience I’ve had so they don’t make the same mistakes. And, to hopefully motivate a little. Being a writer has never been easy. Even in the “old” days when you could go directly to a publishing house and they might have even looked at your manuscript if you were lucky to get pulled off the slush pile. Then it went to where only agents could get their attention. Now, you’re lucky if you can get the agent’s attention. These truths can be a morale buster. You have to write for yourself. If you’re really good, take the craft serious, and are willing to bust your ass to promote yourself, you might sell a couple books.

Enter Print on Demand. The times have truly changed. You can now write a book, print it yourself, stare at the finished product and pat yourself on the back. You have a book! Now what do you do with it? Market, market, market. More on this later.

I want to first switch back to something else. I’m starting up a new website called, and I thought long and hard about this, HenrySchulte.com. That will be where I can comfortably vent my political views. I’ll let you all know when it’s up and running. In the meantime I’ll continue to throw out a few things here.

Back to the deer in the headlights thing. I have no idea where to begin. Obama is proving he hasn’t a clue what he’s doing. His administration is throwing so much stuff out there it’s becoming a whirlpool of experimental plans. An analogy would be, if you say one lie, we all know it leads to another and another until finally there are so many lies you’ve lost the truth. Or, maybe a better analogy is when you gamble your allotted hundred bucks and you lose it, then you decide to chase it with another bucks and lose it, then you chase it with…you get the idea. It doesn’t work, and that’s what is happening in our country.

We may have gone through some rough times, but the private sector would have eventually corrected itself, and it probably still will. But the debt and government intervention we’ve allowed to occur is beyond anything the founding fathers could ever have imagined. What a mess.

I’m not anyone special and I’m certainly not that smart. But I’ve kept pretty close tabs on the politics of San Francisco South or Santa Monica North, or better known as Santa Barbara. I’ve run for office a few times and had to endure the wrath of Jane Fonda, organized hippy brigades and the dirtiest of Chicago style politics, all from people who profess peace and love. For a number of years I was writing a column in a small local newspaper. The owner allowed me great leeway. I also continued to write columns and letters to the editor in the Santa Barbara News Press. For a while they were printed, then, someone black balled me. I tried for a number of years to get something printed. I wrote short pieces, long pieces, nice pieces, nasty pieces. Didn’t matter.

Below is another letter to the editor I attempted to recently get published. I was even contacted to reduce it to 250 words, which I took as a good sign. I cut it down to 249. But, somewhere in the publishing news chain, I was once again denied. I don’t think it was all that nasty and don’t have a real answer for why I’m being censored, but someone does have it our for me. I wonder if I should have my feelings hurt?

Santa Barbara News Press

Another recent letter to the editor pointed out yet again what’s wrong with this city and the country as a whole. The writer pointed out how wonderful Obama’s Inauguration was, how so many people had come together, how everyone chipped in to clean up and most importantly “when was the last time so many of us…were proud to wave the American flag?

During Clinton’s reign of shame, after turning the White House into a frat house, I was still proud to wave the American flag. I have always been and always will be. However, in less than three weeks our new president has already alerted us that the very people who want to raise our taxes, don’t pay them, that over the last two years when Democrats controlled congress they couldn’t pass a bill for the life of them, but when it comes to spending the money of the American people under the guise of a stimulus package, they’re capable of doing it overnight.

We’ve also learned with this new power, the Democrats are going to use our money to repay the people who put them in power and do what it takes to stay in power. They’re not even being sneaky about it. Just take a trillion dollars and funnel it to the unions, to ACORN who cheated for votes, shower the environmentalists with funds for what is now being called “climate change” and a myriad of other paybacks. It’s an in-your-face Chicago-style politics followed by a wave of the middle finger.

And to further secure their position, the White House is employing Californiagerrymandering tactics. By bringing control of the 2010 census into the Oval Office, the Democrats will start drawing districts like that of Lois Capps. We’ve already had to endure these kinds of politics in California for years and you can see exactly how successful it’s been: the highest tax rates, the worst schools, bulging prisons, unions run amok, a massive flood of illegal immigrants, insurance rates through the roof and on and on.

I’ve always been proud to wave the flag. And even as I watch our country become France, and even after enduring eight years of listening to the venomous hate mantra of president Bush and the endless attempts by the left to bring down this nation, I’ll always be thankful to be an American.

Obama and his fellow Obamanites continue to stir and add to the poison pot their dangerous liberal agenda. Again I refer to California as an example of what’s to be. Lois Capps, a congresswoman who ran on the death of her husband, a former congressman, along with California’s tyrannical legislature, carved out a district for her which virtually guarantees reelection every time. In some places her sliver of coastal influence is only a mile wide. You talk about rigging the system. Schwarzenegger was going to fix all this before he was sprinkled with liberal dust and had his manhood removed.

Enter Obama and Rahm Emanuel. They are now planning to hijack the 2010 Census and bring its control directly into the White House. There they will decide for themselves who gets counted and how to divvy up—manipulate—the districts nation wide. In less than a month the Democrats are already laying the groundwork for a one-party system and dictator-like control of the United States of America. They must have been meeting secretly (sarcasm) with Hugo Chavez—who is a little more up front about his attempt to remain in power forever—to formulate their plan to turn this country into a God hating, Christmas free, terrorist loving, feel good nation.

Fortunately most Americans are not stupid and his popularity is already waning rapidly as he reminds the country that he was the most liberal senator we had. I was more than willing to give the new pres a chance, but he’s blowing it trying to make peace with all those that got him elected and he has removed the coat that barely hid his spots.

Obama has resorted to the tried and true liberal tactics of using fear. The sky is falling if we don’t pass the “Handout Package” today. He states we can’t continue politics as usual with the Republicans who are bucking his policies and hurting the country. We need more bipartisanship. Where was this bipartisanship the last two years when the Dems had control of the house? The last six years when they blamed Bush for everything they didn’t have an answer for, or a solution. Because the road has now gotten a little bumpy, Obama points the finger, raises the alarm of how we should all be scared and see what sticks. How about trying leadership and being positive and telling the populous how strong we are and that this too shall pass.

I really hope Obama doesn’t lose his manhood like the California governor and will lead with guts and common sense. As he’s quickly figuring out, and what a lot of us already knew, it’s one thing to read from a script and make promises at rallies where everyone loves you, to actually having to make hard decisions that have real consequences.

As I’d written in an earlier entry, look to California to see what you can expect for the rest of the country: higher taxes, rampant abuse by illegal immigrants, sky high insurance premiums, closing of hospitals, feel good politics, gerrymandering of districts to keep liberals in office, rules and regulations that smother new businesses, choking air quality regulations using the false pretense of global warming, which by-the-way is now being called climate change because it covers their asses since the world is now cooling. The list is endless and the results are catastrophic. California is being done in and the rest of the 49 states are right behind.

Obama has been in office for two weeks and already the Pork Stimulus Plan is being exposed for what it is, people in power, abusing their power and paying back the people who put them in power. This is a perfect example of how a one party system does not work. Nancy Pelosi is drunk with her new found mojo and couldn’t care less about helping the American people as much as she cares about feeding the unions and her like-minded hippies from the trough of the American’s pockets. Fortunately, a little time has passed and there’s been time to scrutinize this trillion dollar monster. And fortunately, it appears Obama recognizes that this thing may not be the smartest thing to do. He’s already back peddling and for that I give him credit. If he’s smart enough to make the necessary changes and turn it into an actual Stimulus Package, then I give him great credit. However, in the end, whatever it turns out to be, it still won’t solve our problems.

I don’t profess to know or understand all this stuff, and when I look to Congress I know that I’m not alone. So my suggestion is, step back, catch our breath and review things all over again. The country is moving along, albeit a bit slowly these days, but how is it when we really need to get something done, like real tax reform, it never happens. But when it comes to spending other people’s money, ours, they can make it happen overnight. Give ‘em enough rope…we can only hope.

However, unlike the angry sheep I truly wish Obama well.

Just don’t take away my gun rights, legalize all non-citizens, allow Pelosi to run off at the mouth, socialize this country and weaken our defense. To name but a few concerns.

If you can lead this nation using common sense and not be controlled by those determined to bring us down then more power to you Mr. President. Get r done.

Well it’s here. Today is the big day when the torch of conservatism is extinguished and the floodlight of liberalism takes over. It’s remarkable to witness this emotional transition. I can understand the youth being pulled in because Obama struts around like a cigarette-smoking dude and uses the Internet. I can understand the blacks because finally America has broken this huge barrier for them. What I don’t understand are all the other sheep who were pulled into this whirlpool. Well, I shouldn’t say that, actually I do. Obama was elected by the American media. You can’t take away his oracle skills, but if it wasn’t for a concerted effort by our extremely biased liberal media, Obama’s rise to stardom would have been much more difficult, if not impossible. This brainwashing was very effective and very calculated. Hammer Bush, tie anyone conservative to Bush and build up this unknown kid as the savior for America and the world. It worked.

Had a conservative had ties to the KKK like Obama had with Bill Ayers or any of his other shady friends, it would have been a political nuke. But, because of the media protection Obama had around him like a cone of silence, he could do no wrong.

I’m going to make a prediction here. In very short order, the media will begin to paint a rosier picture that the economy is already turning around. Things aren’t quite as bad as they thought and everyone in America is now happier.

There is one good thing that may, and I say may come out of this. Maybe we’ll finally stop hearing how Bush is at fault for everything. Even if the price of eggs in Egypt goes up, “It’s Bush’s fault!” This liberal hate machine will have to find somewhere else to vent their visceral anger. This could become very unhealthy for without somewhere to vent all that rage and hatred they could implode. Perhaps they should all try counseling.

Well, it’s about to happen, change.

First, we’re going to give a bunch of terrorists, non American citizens the same rights we have. Remember, those guys who are hunkered down in their luxury cells in Cuba want to kill us but Obama wants to give them the right to have lawyers. This way we can use our dollars to defend them, tie up our courts and eventually let them free so they can kill more members our families.

Liberals are going to take what has been a tradition all over the world and change it to allow gay marriage. There was a time when I was homophobic. I too have changed. I agree that gays should be treated equally as straights. It’s unfair and cruel to separate anyone based on sexual orientation. But, marriage has always been recognized one way. Why push so hard to upset the concept of marriage? We can still accomplish the same thing via another form of a binding union. Not everything needs to be changed.

Obama being forced by all those who voted for him will also push to change how we handle the millions of illegals coming to America. Can you imagine if we tried to invade Mexico in the same way? Heck, they don’t even allow their own kind from their southern border into Mexico. But with the wonderful change we can look forward to, it will now cost us even more for insurance, school, health care and even taxing our natural resources because we’re going to accommodate everyone who wants to come here and then allow even more to enter. Nice change.

And the terrorists all over the world are chuckling because we’re going to change our position on monitoring them, we’re going to stop playing loud music and running water up their noses to gather information. We’re going to have change alright, we’re going to change into a nation of wussies.

Add that every environmental group will be lining up for dollars to fight and perpetuate the fear and myth of global warming and we’re on track to change this country like we’ve never seen before.

What I really hope changes, is that once Obama realizes that it’s one thing to campaign for a job and quite another to actually do it, he won’t allow the left to control him. He’ll have to rely on common sense, something this country is running very short on, to make real decisions. Remember, Obama is 47 and has never signed a paycheck, run a business or even spent any real time in the Senate.

I wish him all the best. He’s not the only one who’s going to need it.
